Maya Hu-Morabito
Professional Background
Maya Hu-Morabito received her Master's in Disability Studies from the University at Buffalo; her undergraduate work was in Psychology and Sociology. Prior to joining the National Center for START Services team, Maya worked as a Program Director in New York. She also has past experience overseeing Self Directed Services and working as a Service Coordinator and Direct Support Professional for people with Developmental Disabilities. Maya is a Project Facilitator for the National Center for START Services with current projects in New York, California and Pennsylvania. She contributes to the Training Department as a Coordinator Training Group instructor and supports some additional Certified START teams through the Quality Assurance Department. Maya is interested in leadership; she also maintains Board memberships through her County Department of Mental Health and for a Peer Run Mental Health Organization that serves 19 counties of Western and Central New York. Maya enjoys cooking and hiking. She has two beautiful children who inspire her every day.
