Professional Background

Janie Poncelet is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. She holds a BSW and MSW from East Carolina University. Janie has supported individuals with IDD-MH (in community and residential settings) and their families for over 5 years. Janie has experience in crisis prevention and intervention, care coordination, individual and group therapy, clinical documentation and assessment, research, and training. Janie is a Research Coordinator on the PCORI Research Team. She is involved in a variety of grant activities including focus group scheduling and facilitation, data analysis, and report writing. She also supports the QA team with SIRS data management. Janie is interested in exploring effective treatment approaches for individuals with IDD-MH and their families and making services and research more inclusive and accessible for individuals with disabilities. Janie enjoys collecting houseplants, yoga, and going to concerts.
