Yona Lunsky headshot

Yona Lunsky is Scientific Director of the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, in Toronto Canada. She is a clinical psychologist and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on mental health and developmental disabilities and she works on several projects bringing people with disabilities and families together with health care providers to design better ways to deliver services. 

 

 

 

 

Marissa Blake headshot

Marissa Blake is a Self-Advocate Advisor at CAMH in the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre, as well as at Respecting Rights in the ARCH Disability Law Centre. Marissa is also a course facilitator for the ECHO AIDD program (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes: Adult Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities). Marissa's personal experience in healthcare settings and how she has been treated inspired her to advocate for people with IDD like herself, since she has lots of experience in healthcare settings and advocacy. 
 
 

 

 

 

Victor Pereira headshot

Victor Pereira is a Self-Advocate Advisor at CAMH in the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre. He is also a course facilitator, an actor, a Special Olympics athlete, and a podcast host for "IDD: Get to Know Me." Victor has been a Self-Advocate Advisor with CAMH since 2016, and he is passionate about advocating for people with disabilities in the healthcare system, forming a community, and connecting with other self-advocates.

 

 

 

 

 

Gill Lefkowitz headshot

Gill Lefkowitz is a Family Caregiver Advisor at CAMH in the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre. Gill is also a course facilitator for the ECHO AIDD Program (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes: Adult Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities). Gill is the mom of a young adult with an intellectual disability.  In addition to founding Everyday Families and Everyday Friends, she is devoted to helping make the community more inclusive. She is a retired elementary public school teacher with a passion for early literacy.
 

 

 

 

Amy Baskin headshot

Amy Baskin, M.Ed. is a writer, educator and public speaker. Amy is also a Family Caregiver Advisor at CAMH in the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre. In this role, Amy co-created and facilitated online workshops for caregivers of adults with developmental disabilities about mental health and health during Covid-19. Amy is the parent of two amazing adult daughters; her youngest has autism and a developmental disability. www.amybaskin.com
