Adalia is a young woman with long dark hair and glasses

Adalia Ortiz is working to complete her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Couples counseling. She has a strong passion for working with parents and caregivers who are facing a variety of challenges. Adalia brings this passion into her systemic support through the CA START East Bay program as the Therapeutic Coach Team Lead. This passion began while she was working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospice center while she was in high school. She met with many families that were grieving the loss of their children due to terminal illnesses. It was during this time that Adalia determined that she wanted to do more for this community as well as the IDD-MH community.
